Casafont adds an acoustic piano to its facilities

Casafont recording studio has added a Yamaha U3 acoustic piano to its equipment. An expansive soundboard and acoustic chamber give the 131 cm U3 extended power and projection, with the peerless tonal and expressive control of the legendary Yamaha U3 action.

It came yesterday and we haven't had the time to test it in depth and find its optimal microphone placement. We will shortly post more details about it.

Picado Guitar

One of the latest additions to Casafont recording studio is a classic guitar made by the luthier Antonio Picado. Here you will find the first test samples played by Jordi Jové, Francesc León and Maria de Lluc, and recorded by Ramon Pujol.
We would like to thank the three guitar players for having agreed to leave their mark.

Els Amics del Bosc record a new album at Casafont recording studio. The recording has been done live and without a metronome, following the strict guidelines of the band, who had previously done an intense pre-production effort. The challenge: to recover all the fresh spirit of the first live recordings, where, due to a lack of means, instrument overdubbings were not feasible. The recording has been characterized for the attempt to obtain a distinctive sound with a marked influence of 70s rock.
